About Lead Generation Ads (Beta)

Lead generation ads collect key information like names, emails, and job titles from prospective customers without needing to leave Reddit. Lead generation ads help redditors interested in your products and services sign up for updates and incentives from your business.

Considerations

Limitations

  • Custom fields and carousel ads aren't supported. 
  • Lead generation ads are auto-optimized for clicks, not leads.
  • Company emails and names will not be validated in the Ads Manager. We recommend using the Reddit Leads Integration with Zapier to validate company emails.
  • Auto-retargeting isn't supported. Create a customer list to retarget this audience.
  • Gender targeting is disabled for lead generation ads. Zip code targeting is limited to ad groups with an audience size of at least 1,000.
  • Downloading a lead generation submission only tells you the data collected from redditors in the form, not the ad group or ad that generated the lead. Separate each ad into an ad group in a separate campaign to track this information.
  • You can't change to a different form after creating your ad. To select a different form, create a new ad.

Set up a lead generation campaign

You can easily set up a lead generation campaign using Advanced Create. Advanced Create lets you choose objectives, targeting, delivery, and creatives for your ads. Unlike Simple Create, you can take full advantage of our targeting capabilities, like choosing which communities (“subreddits”), locations, and audiences you'd like to target. Manage lead generation data

You can manage lead generation data on the dashboard. Since this data is deleted after 90 days, we strongly recommend downloading it regularly. You can also send this data to your customer relationship management (CRM) system using Zapier.
