About DPA Readiness

Dynamic product ads (DPA) readiness helps you understand the accuracy of product metadata in your conversion events. We recommend using this status to enhance the quality of your DPAs.

You can view your DPA readiness in Catalog > Diagnostics.

DPA Readiness

Key features

  • Reduce the time between setting up a catalog and Reddit Pixel and delivering DPAs.
  • Improve the attribution of conversion events to specific products.

Status calculation

Your readiness status is calculated based on the currency and value coverage as well as the coverage and match rate of View Content, Add to Cart, and Purchase events for the past seven days. Statuses are the sum of all conversion event types for every event source and tell you whether your account is ready to run DPAs.

ScoreWhat it means
ExcellentAll metrics are at least 80%
OkayEvents meet at least one of the following criteria:
  • Product ID and event coverage are below 20%
  • Product ID match rate is 0%
  • Currency and/or value coverage for Purchase events is less than 20%
PoorAll metrics are below 20%
UnavailableCoverage couldn’t be verified. Ensure the Pixel is connected to your catalog, and conversion events have been set up and sent.

The main metrics influencing your score are:

  • Coverage: Percentage of applicable events with product ID, currency, and value metadata. Your value and currency coverage are given scores based on their percentages.
    • Example: If 80% of View Content events pass a product ID, your product ID coverage value will be 80%.
  • Match rate: Percentage of applicable events with product IDs that match an ID in your catalog.
    • Example: If 80% of View Content events passing a product ID match an ID in the catalog, your product ID match rate value will be 80%.

You can change the date range to see your metrics over a different period of time.

Things to know

  • Your status is based on the last seven days. The date range only affects metrics.
  • Coverage doesn’t account for the accuracy or validity of your metadata. We recommend verifying that the product ID you’ve set up matches the correct product in your catalog.
  • Improving coverage won’t always improve your match rate. For example, you have ten events, all sending product IDs. If only five of these events contain IDs that match your catalog, your coverage would be 100%, but your match rate would only be 50%.
