Set up Reddit Integrations on mParticle

You can share events and audiences using the mParticle Reddit integrations. Activating these integrations lets you forward conversion data to Reddit, helping you measure the performance of your campaigns.

Before you start​

Create an event output​

  1. In mParticle, open the directory and choose Reddit Event.
  2. Choose Output Event and select Go to setup.
  3.  Find Reddit -  Event Default Group and select + under Actions.
  4. Set up your event output.
    • Name: Set a descriptive name for your configuration, like Reddit Event Output.
    • Advertiser ID: Provide your Reddit advertiser ID, which is listed as the Pixel ID in the Events Manager.
    • Conversion token: Provide a conversion access token generated in the Event Manager.
  5. Select Save to create your output. Finish setting up events by connecting to your input. Save event

Create an audience output​

  1. In mParticle, open the directory and choose Reddit Audience.
  2. Choose Output Audience and select Go to setup.
  3. Find Reddit Default and select + under Actions.
  4. Set up your audience output.
    • Configuration name: Set a descriptive name for your configuration, like Reddit Audience Output. This must be done after authenticating your account.
    • Authenticate your account: Select authenticate to link mParticle to your Reddit account. This will let mParticle share your audience data with Reddit.
    • Advertiser ID: Provide your Reddit advertiser ID, which is listed as the Pixel ID in the Events Manager.
  5. Select Save to create your output. Finish setting up audiences by connecting to your audience. Save audience

Things to know​

  • Some event attributes may not automatically map to known metadata and match keys. We recommend manually configuring custom mappings to ensure all attributes are shared. See the list of mapped event properties.
  • Audience data may take several hours to populate in Reddit Ads.
  • Some identities are supported by audience integration. See the supported identities.
  • We strongly recommend setting up multichannel deduplication when sending the same events with the Reddit Pixel.
