About Billing and Payment

Once you have launched a campaign and started running ads, we'll automatically charge the valid debit or credit card you added to your account when you signed up.

As your campaign runs, you will be charged when your outstanding balance meets your billing threshold. If you reach your threshold multiple times within a month, you'll be charged multiple times that month. Otherwise, you will always be charged for any outstanding balance toward the end of each month. You can also make payments at any time.

Once your payment goes through, we'll clear your balance and send you a receipt for the transaction.

Interested in receiving monthly invoices instead? Here's how to request it.

Billing threshold

When you start advertising with Reddit, your billing threshold is automatically set to a small amount. As you make successful payments, this amount will be raised.

You'll be charged when your outstanding balance meets your threshold and at the end of the month if you've exceeded or spent less than this amount. You can also make payments at any time.

You can view your threshold in Ads > Account > Billing

Contact support if you'd like to lower your threshold or charge your card more frequently.

Receipts

You'll receive a receipt every time you pay. Each transaction will generate a separate receipt containing the following details:

  • Receipt for: Information about your business. You can change this for subsequent receipts in the Business Manager.
  • Payment date: When you were charged. This may not be the same as the billing period, or the period of ad spend you were billed.
  • Payment method: How you paid. Learn how to update your payment method.
  • Transaction ID : The unique transaction ID for this receipt.
  • User ID: Your ads account ID.
  • Details: What you were charged for. Ad credits will appear as promotional credits.
  • Amount: The amount you were charged.

We can't modify the invoice to include additional fields.
