Terms and Conditions for Reddit online advertising promotional credits:
These Reddit Ad Credit Terms and Conditions (“Credit Terms”) govern your eligibility for, receipt, and use of auction advertising credits (“Ad Credit”), which may be redeemed on the Reddit Advertising Platform (“Platform”). By redeeming and/or using Ad Credit, you agree to these Credit Terms, the Reddit Advertising Platform Terms, and the Reddit Terms and Policies (as defined in the Reddit Advertising Platform Terms). Any capitalized terms that are not defined in these Credit Terms will have the meanings set forth in the Reddit Terms and Policies.
Eligibility
- Eligibility requirements to receive Ad Credit Your account is in good standing and you do not have any overdue payments;
- A valid credit card is on file;
- You are legally permitted to receive and use Ad Credit;
- You are located in the geographic location which is eligible for Ad Credit;
- Your campaign does not include prohibited or restricted advertisements, as set forth in the Reddit Advertising Policy; and
- You are, and continue to be, in compliance with the Reddit Terms and Policies.
Reddit, in its sole discretion, may exclude certain users from a special offer or promotion, including if Reddit believes that you are attempting to claim multiple offers by opening multiple accounts.
Acceptance and Use
- Use of Ad Credit is subject to valid account registration, ad approval, and acceptance of the Reddit Advertising Platform Terms.
- You will be charged for all costs that exceed the amount of ad credits received, and will not be notified when the remaining balance of ad credits reaches zero.
- You can suspend your ads anytime before the ad credit amount is exhausted if you do not wish to receive additional advertising charges.
- Some offers may require you to reach a minimum amount of advertising spend and make successful payment to Reddit before Ad Credit is awarded. Details are provided in the offer you receive from Reddit.
- Ad Credit cannot be split across multiple ad accounts and are not transferable, and cannot be used in combination with any other coupon or promotional offer.
- Ad Credit will be applied for future campaigns only, are not redeemable for cash or cash equivalent and may not be used in combination with any other ad credit or promotional offer.
- You are responsible for the payment of any taxes or other fees incurred.
- Reddit Ads accounts created in a different currency than the one in which Ad Credit is awarded may be subject to foreign currency fluctuations.
- Offer void where prohibited by law.
- Offer may be revoked at any time for any reason by Reddit.
Offer Acceptance
You can claim Ads Credits via marketing campaigns, in-product banners, or the promo input field on the billing page.
Offers and the promo input field are only available to Ads Accounts that do not have any other active promotions.
To claim a promo via the promo field, simply enter it into the promo field and click "Add Promo Code." If the code is valid and you are eligible for the promo, you will see a pop up modal.
To accept your offer, click the “Get it now!” button on the pop up modal.
After the promotional offer is claimed, your campaigns must accrue the cost of any applicable spend threshold (excluding any taxes or applicable fees) within the required amount of days to fulfill spend.
Qualifying Ads Credits are typically applied within 24 hours to the billing page of your Ads Account with the associated credit expiration date.
Offers are void where prohibited by applicable law and may be revoked at any time and for any reason by Reddit.
FAQ
Are promos only valid to Advertisers with a valid Payment Method on file?
Yes. In order to be eligible, Advertisers should have a valid Payment Method on file.
Can an Advertiser claim the same promo multiple times?
No. One promo cannot be applied to the same Ads Account more than once.
Can an Advertiser claim multiple promos at once?
No. Advertisers are limited to one active promo per Ads Account at any given time.
Can an Advertiser open several Ads Accounts to claim multiple promos?
No. This is against our Policies and may result in a loss of eligibility for Ads Credits.
Can an Advertiser split the offer across multiple Ads Accounts or transfer Ads Credits from one Ads Account to another?
No.
I accepted promo A but then saw a better offer B. Can I switch (revoke offer A and then claim offer B)?
No. Once offer A is accepted, an Advertiser can no longer claim another offer unless offer A expires or all Ads Credits have been used.
Who is eligible to accept the promo?
Only the Ads Account owner is eligible to view and accept the promotion.
Why am I unable to see or claim/redeem a promo?
Potential reasons include: having another active promo under the same Ads Account, not being the type of advertiser a promo is directed toward, being outside of eligible countries or currencies, the promo already expired, the promo redemption limit has been reached, ineligibility for a new-user-exclusive promo.
Does capitalization matter?
Yes. When you input a promo code, the capitalization must match for the code to be effective.
My promo expired before I could use it all, can I get an extension?
No, once the promo has expired it cannot be reinstated.
I’ve met all the requirements to claim the promo, when will it be added to my account?
Once you have spent any required amounts, the promo value will be added to your account within 24 hours.
Why was my Payment Method charged when I have a promo on my account already?
Ads Credits will automatically apply to any spend from your Ads Account after the Ads Credits were issued. Any spend prior to the Ads Credits being issued to your account will have to be paid. Ads Credits do not apply to any current outstanding balance (costs you accrued before the credit was issued).
I claimed a promo, but have not seen it added to my account yet.
You may still need to fulfill spend requirements before it is added to your Ads Account. Any spend that occurred before the promotion was claimed will not count towards your progress.
