Audience Manager
The Audience Manager is your go-to tool for building and managing your targeting. It lets you reuse and edit your saved audiences across multiple ad groups, saving you time and effort when making updates.
The Audience Manager lets you:
- Create: Make a new audience to use for your ad groups. You can create either a saved audience or a custom audience.
- Delete: Remove an audience you don’t use anymore.
This will permanently delete your audience from your ads account.
Depending on your audience’s type, you can also:
- Saved audience: Update your audience and choose the targeting of all the ad groups that use it.
You can’t edit an audience’s device type after creating it. To change this field, duplicate the audience instead.
- Custom audience: Manage the ad accounts that have access to your customer list or engagement retargeting audience. These settings can also be managed in Asset > Audiences.
You can access the Audience Manager in Ads > Audience Manager.
Create a saved audience
Zip code targeting, audience expansion, lookalikes, and gender targeting can't be used for Housing, Employment & Credit (HEC) ads. Contact your Reddit Ads expert to learn more.
- In the Audience Manager, select New Audience > Saved Audience.
- Name your audience. We recommend choosing a name you can easily identify later.
- Set up your Reddit audiences.
- Keywords: Provide keywords you'd like to include.
- Community audiences: Choose the communities (“subreddits”) to include. This will target redditors who've subscribed to or visited those communities in the last 28 days.
- Interest groups: Choose the topics to include. This will target redditors who've recently interacted with those interests.
- Expand your audience: Enable automated targeting to find relevant users beyond your initial selection.
Reddit automatically optimizes your targeting to reach keywords, communities, and interest groups similar to the ones you've picked. This will help increase your click-through rate (CTR) and drive better outcomes based on your campaign objective. If you see more delivery than you want, adjust your budget.
- Pick the custom audiences to include or exclude.
- Set up demographics audience.
- Choose your locations: Provide the regions, DMAs, countries, postal codes, and cities to include or exclude. You can leave this blank to run ads worldwide.
- Set up gender targeting: Choose the genders to target.
- Set up device targeting by selecting its type and configuring its options:
Your device targeting can't be changed after creating your audience. Clone your audience to update this.
- All: Select specific cell carriers to target. We recommend using this if you don't need to target specific iOS or Android devices.
- Custom: Choose the devices and cell carriers to target.
- Select continue to save your audience. Learn how to use it in ad groups.
Things to know
- Audience size estimation may take time. If it's pending after an hour, contact support.
- Changes to a saved audience will apply to all linked ad groups.
